Revolver
The Cover Art
The first thing that hits you when you look at the front cover is that the cover has been drawn; a first in Beatle album history. Was this done because there was no current group to speak of to photograph for the cover? Perhaps EMI were trying to preserve as many group photos in order to tide them over until Timothy was ready to face the cameras?
Facing Up
Ringo is the only Beatle on the album that is looking up. Could this mean that Ringo is in the heavens now? (He's looking up toward the heavens)
Paul Screaming
In this photo, Paul is screaming, while Ringo is right below his head. Could this be Paul's reaction to Ringo's death?
The Trunk
Coming out of Ringo's hair is what appears to be an elephant trunk. Could this be the trunk of the elephant that trampled Ringo?
Back Cover
The Body
As the back is covered in black, Ringo's dark suit seems to blend in with the background. The result is the effect that Ringo's body is no longer there. Does this resemble his dissipated body?
Ringo's Smile
Ringo is smiling, or maybe even laughing, while John and Paul look at each other, somberly. Could this be Timothy being glad that he's now absorbing the fame?
