The Beatles (White Album)
The Stark White
In a direct contrast to the Magical Mystery Tour LP the groups next album featured a bare, white cover with the only features on the front cover being the name of the group embossed and an individual number. You have to wonder why it's white, especially since the dead are buried in white shrouds
"HE BE ICE"
If you put a mirror up to the name of "The BEATLES", you will see that it says "HE BE ICE", followed by the number 3. This is a reference to the fact that Ringo had been dead for three years, and must have been very cold.
The Gatefold
The Sombre Nature
The inner gatefold gives a very sombre atmosphere and does not emit the happiness found on earlier covers. It's also in the same kind of layout as an obituary or message of mourning. But for whom?
